    A one way check valve on rebound controlling pressure; essentially giving you two dedicated circuits! I think you just made the first mono tube TTX Kevin. Brilliant! Just checked out your web site. You have these babies priced at 1599?! You’d pay close to 3K for a pair of TTX Ohlins! What a deal brother🤙 PPL this is big! With traditional damping you build more pressure across the main piston than what you have in gas pressure. If you put too much compression damping in that compression damper you will see cavitation (localized boiling due to a pressure drop through the valves). A big bubble forms on the bottom and you have no rebound damping in the beginning. In a traditional damper you drop pressure on the bottom and you raise it on the top (pressure differential) in the compression stroke. That is No Bueno folks😆 Can’t wait to ride one of these baggers from Big Bear soon! Nice job 👍

    Are shocks really worth 1/3 the price I paid for my Dyna? I still can't justify paying $1600 or more for rear shocks... Is its really 4x better than the cheaper sets?

    • @buddy-guy
      @buddy-guy 13 дней назад

      You won't be happy if you only do the rear unfortunately. I have legends suspension front and rear and it did completely change the ride and handling of my vrod. My buddy changed only the rear on his dyna and it handled like shit til he swapped the front out. It's a tough bullet to bite but if you ride enough it's absolutely worth it. I will do suspension over any other mod first on every harley I buy going forward.

    I’m sorry, but please do not take this personal on the folks who have commented. But just wondering if you watched the same video as me ? Keven has absolutely pulled every aspect of a HD in the mighty FXR frame in side my imagination as I always imagined a HD built sled could be. I cannot believe how he awesomely overbuilt this FXR frame is. Not one aspect overlooked and not improved on. Talk about telling a frame we ain’t asking you not to bend ! Is an understatement. There is no way in hell this frame can flex in any on road torture test, 0 flex is the key to ripping corners. And then to add on all the best components in the industry is just so beyond badd ass I can not even begin to relay this statement. And all around a titanium frame, weight = hp. I tell you what, I pray one day to be able to afford one of these bikes. And I guarantee mine would be the baddest in the land. How about add BST’s full moto GP mono block Brembo brakes with ceramic brake rotors, topped off with Moto GP Brembo radial master cylinder on the Texes built bike. Oh yea let throw in a Saddleman seat with a flame job paint from hell. I would have Baxters performance build the motor, let’s say a 140-150 hp mill 150 lbs of crank ! In this frame, lol 😂 That would be beyond a shadow of a doubt be the baddest HD on the planet. So Keven back to you, bro your the sickest bike builder in the industry bar none my brother. You have built the sickest HD’s I have ever laid my eyes on. Absolute works of art. Well I guess one day if I ever get around north of $ 150,000 I could have Keven built the worlds baddest HD ! Big Bear performance ‘’ When your throwing the anchor and they are throwing Coal’s’’

    I perfer to stick with Honda, I don't have to spend an ungodly amount of money on parts and more parts and more parts just to keep it running. If I am going to spend $45,000 + on a bike, it ain't going to be on a piece of garbage called a Harley Davidson. The Honda gold wing I the best motorcycle on planet earth. It is also the longest lasting motorcycle on planet earth.

      HAMC England need to be thanked for the great Kent Custom bike show with over 50000 bikers in a field with music was fabulous and good value and not too many fuzz at the beginning. We loved the hot, sexy women, wet T shirt competition titties and beer, gigs with rock and blues band.. Many of us lived with motorbikes in our bedrooms in the winter with lots of parties, offen getting out of hand with partying drink spliff and tripping. Amazing times but youd have the straights, beer monsters then the hippies bikers, heads, tattoos, some heavy metal types in motorhead cutoffs, others punks with mohahawks and it became more and more mainstream. Im in my 60s and still live to ride, ride to live but travelling on the bike was my passion and ive ridden in Australia and even in India which was fantastic. Its all about enjoying your life and living your passion for bikes and some here ended up becoming despatch riders in London and these guys were hardcore, riding summer, winter even in ice, snow, rain, high winds. Bikes would become rat bikes often because we were often broke, some squatting but we done the wrenching b efore you tube and learned the hard way but nowadays the youngsters often cant time a motor with magneto ignition, work on carburetors on pre unit bikes or even japanese UJM like 650 yams or honda cbs suzuki GS or kawasaki Z series motors but they were great, simpler, no fuel injection to go wrong or over complicated electrical nightmare like today but at least Enfields and triumph twins are still easy to work on. With mechanics charging a weeks wages or more to do the shims on a motor, forget buying a ducati with desmo valves. It costs an arm and a leg to get a service. Imagine working on a vfr honda or even a yamaha supertenere 1200 to do the shims. Thats why many royal enfields are sold or even basic hondas like transalps, yamaha bolts and suzuki v stroms and sv650s but so many of us love the old bikes like the suzuki GS1000s as you know its simple, bombproof and fast enough as theres speed cameras everywhere.

    Yes Norton couldve built a nicer custom but my goodness it sounded amazing, handled better than anything else. You obviously dont have any idea about 60s 70s i0s and 90s cruisers.. My generation rode them, blew them up, rebuilt them and read back street heroes and easyriders and we would modify and strip off all the rubbish but many people would change things like handlebars, shock absorbers, exhausts and seats. Commandos would have aftermarket more open exhausts, flat track bars or even us bonny bars, different seats. KHarleys were bikes for well off people in the 1970s and 1980s and they were unreliable. Old 1950s BSA twins were a few hundred quid secondhand and the frames were beautifully crafted so if you put on a bonneville front end with lockheed brake calipers, it stopped well and handling was far far better than any harley. We loved the 1940s and 1950s indian and harley v twins but they lost the plot. AMF shouldve stuck to bowling.

    In 80s-90s i was buying up chopper parts for pennies on the dollar. Springers,girders ,frames and all sorts of stuff. I now sell some parts for hundreds. Just recently sold a coffin tank I paid $5 for in 1982( never used) for $200. Im a hoarder when it comes to bike and car parts.

    Years ago when I upgraded to Ohlins suspension on my street glide, I too had to learn to ride all over again. For instance, not having to worry about crashing vs having fun watching and enjoying your surroundings. The benefits of having suspension that works properly on a Harley Davidson truly bring rider and motorcycle into one working machine.
